It's summer outside, but
these cool classes at THE STAMP ADDICT will
keep you nice & refreshed while having stamping fun! (& so will the air
conditioner!) The Stamp Addict turns 5 & you get the presents: August 2 ALL DAY LONG! Your presents will include gifts from the wonderful companies that stock the shelves of the store & special gifts include demos & make-it-&-take-its from the fantastic teaching staff of The Stamp Addict & SPECIAL GUEST STARS! (But Wait! There's More!! The new!!!!!! classroom should be up & available for you!) All day long! (& yes, there will be food!) The day's schedule is still in the works & will be available at the store & on-line by July 29th. As always times may not be exact due to schedule changes that are unavoidable, as well as "run-over", but just like in the past, come early & stay late! a Guy Thing - OR - Blooming Through the Ages: The Monday morning classes
give you a chance to have a continental breakfast & a stamp class: 2-1/2
hours all for the same fee as a regular class! Each class will be offered on a
Monday morning & a Saturday: the 4th & the 9th classes feature the class
It's A Guy Thing and the 18th & the 16th will be Blooming Through the Ages.

& Julia Quinsey: Wednesday, August 6, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
and Saturday, August 9, 10:00 AM - Noon. August will be full of summer
fun for the mice! We'll be having new adventures with our furry friends! The
great stamps from "Ann-ticipations" are personal favorites of Monica,
Mudpie, Muzzy, Maxwell, & Amanda (we know this because they told Julia --
she has a special connection with them!) This will be Mouse-er-ific fun for

$18.00 * Face To Face with Laurie Gore: Wednesday, August 6, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. You've been asking for this! & now you get it! The only Wednesday night version of eraser carving! If you have ever been intrigued by the distinctive style of a carved image, you should give it a try. It is easier than it looks & the Staedler MasterCarve blocks carve like butter. The theme for this class allows you to pick from over 2 dozen images to carve the perfect face to express your mood: Marilyn Monroe to the inner monster! The class will have images for beginning to advanced carvers. Laurie has a special treat for prepaid students: a custom, carved by (your name here) stamp! Thing with Mike: Monday, August 4, 9:30 AM - Noon and
Saturday, August 9, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Here's your chance to make just
the right cards for all the guys in your life. Mike will take you beyond the
typical "golf & fishing" motifs that are sooooo familiar &
bring you some stylish masculine card ideas. Make 5 guy cards & a fun rebus

$18.00 * Brass Stencils With Kathy Olsen: Sunday, August 10, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. They can be somewhat intimidating if you aren't familiar with them, but brass stencils have a great look: classy, artistic, awesome! You have been asking for stencil classes; now Kathy is answering this call. You'll learn to use stencils as the centerpiece to your card, or a border to enhance your stamped image card. this class you will be using tiny little hinges in a variety of ways to dress up
a cool collection of cards. You'll learn how the addition of something al little
out of the ordinary can make your cards something special. See

help you make a variety of cards that reflect the changing designs styles over

a sample here. Cost $18.00 * Let's Get Versatile with Cheryl Outhier: Saturday, August 16, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. In this class you'll look at some of the newer Hero Arts stamps. You'll get to see how you can create different cards with just a couple of stamps. Following Cheryl's lead, with both image & shadow stamps, your creativity will be stimulated & then your imagination will take off from there! See a sample here. Cost $18.00 * Stamping Time with Laurie: Sunday, August 17, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. In the middle of a hectic day, have you glanced at the clock & realized it, too, was a stamp-able surface. Laurie did!!!! Now it can always be Stamping Time! What great gifts these will make (if, of course, you choose to give them away!) She'll lead you as you make 6 Asian graced cards, using the wonderful images from the Judi-Kins collection of stamps. Take your mind overseas to relaxation with these beautiful cards. See a sample here. Cost $18.00 * Words & Images & Hot Dogs with Laurie: Sunday, August 31, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Escape from the rush of the holiday weekend & come have lunch at The Stamp Addict. Laurie's preparing Hebrew National hot dogs (this ain't Puffy Dog) & potato salad for your pre-stamping pleasure. Her distinctive way of picking word stamps & pairing them with clever images combines to give more meaning than their individual parts in this great class about words. You'll play with a variety of techniques & leave with at least 6 terrific cards. Don't forget: come at 1:30 PM for lunch & be prepared for fun, fun, fun. See a sample here.
