Learn how to work, write, collage, & paint on black paper. Kelly loves to work with dark pages & after this class, so will you! Learn a plethora of new tips, tricks & secrets to working on top of deep, dark, soulful pages. You'll create the journal from scratch, then spend time working inside on the pages & cover as desired, with a variety of NEW mixed media techniques. Learn a variety of ways to add paint, mixed media supplies & collage ephemera to your pages. We'll explore different ways to add paint, glitter, ephemera, mica powders, & a selection of Kelly's favorite mediums on top of your journal pages. Layer & add color to get the look that YOU want. Collage & add even MORE color on top of your chosen images & words. This is two classes in one: making a new journal & then learning all new mixed media techniques. Kelly always offers NEW mixed media techniques in her classes, & doesn't repeat the same ol' same ol'! She's always NEW & DIFFERENT! Detailed handout included in class. Expand your horizon & step outside of your creativity box with this class! Please bring your own scissors, cork-backed metal ruler & any special collage material you'd like to incorporate.
