Female Forms & Faces with Kathy: Saturday, June 3, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. They can be whimsical; they can be happy, sad, petulant, or seductive. THEY are the fabulous faces & body stamps of the female gender. Join with Kathy in making some very special cards centered on the femme' & using some new stamps from Hampton Art Stamps. Mixed Media Art Journaling with Kelly Kilmer Session One: Some of Us are Brave: Sunday, June 4, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Are you eager to delve deeper in your journals? Wondering what to do with them? Are you piling up luscious, blank books by the shelf full? Are your journals staring at you, as you are eager to work in them but don't quite know how to "begin" or what to "say"? In each two hour session workshop, we will dive head first into the world of art journaling. Learn how to combine writing, collage & mixed media tools to tell YOUR story. Each class is unique & different from the previous. Learn new exercises in collage, mixed media, journaling & more in each two hour session. Nothing will be repeated! No need to take the classes chronologically, nor do you need to take "all" of them to get the full effect. Each workshop stands on its own. This is a unique series of classes designed specifically to tell YOUR story from YOUR point of view. This is your life: live it, love it, embrace it, & cherish it.

Session Two: Some of Us are Brave: Sunday, June 4, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. This is a continuation of sorts from the above class. However, it is NOT necessary to have taken session 1 as a prerequisite to this session. You will NOT have a repetition of the information. These classes are for beginners to advanced: ALL are welcome! You will receive a detailed workbook/handout at each session. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN: JOURNAL (PREFERABLY ONE WITH "HEAVY" CARDSTOCK OR PAPER THAT CAN WITHSTAND LAYERS OF PAINTS & COLLAGE, COLLAGE EPHEMERA (COPIES OF OLD PHOTOS: YOUR YOUTH, GROWING UP, ETC...,) MAGAZINE CLIPPINGS, CHERISHED CUT OUTS, THINGS THAT "SPEAK" TO YOU. (MAKE COLOR COPIES OF ANYTHING YOU WISH TO USE MORE THEN ONCE) SCISSORS, BONE FOLDER, CORK BACKED METAL RULER, ROLL OF PAPER TOWELS, & A ROLL OF WAXED PAPER. THE INSTRUCTOR WILL BE SUPPLYING AN ARRAY OF PROFESSIONAL ARTIST ACRYLICS AND MEDIUMS, RUBBER STAMPS, COLLAGE EPHEMERA, & ALL NECESSARY MATERIALS. Monday Morning with Mike Strong: Where the Wild Things Are: Monday, June 12, 9:30 AM - Noon. Sandra Jordan's superb animal drawings are providing the inspiration for this wild class from Mike. You'll be making 5 all new cards featuring big cats, pandas, apes & a whole herd of elephants! THIS CLASS WILL ONLY BE OFFERED ONCE. Cost $18.00*

Resin Charmettes with Tammie Moore: Saturday, June 17, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Come to class & learn how to work with resin & to make different kinds of charmettes. Tammie will introduce you to different resins that are out on the market, how to use molds to make charms & how to fill already made charms/bezels. You'll learn how to drill charms & how to make them into buttons. Tammie's been searching & trying different things regarding resin, & you will benefit from all of the experiments & she'll also give you MANY supplier information sources. You will be supplied with a mold (that makes about 9 round charms), several silver bezels & several different charms to fill in with resin. Washi Paper Quilting with Cathleen Smith: Saturday, June 24, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Washi Paper Quilting is based on a traditional Japanese doll making technique called Kime-Komi. Fabric is used for dolls however we will be using beautiful Washi papers to make cards!!! Templates & supplies are provided in the kits PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SCISSORS. See Samples here! Beach Bodies --- Not!!!! With Rena Tucker: Wednesday, June 28, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Yes, kids, you read that right! Rena is back, raring to go with irreverent style & fantastic art work & those crazy Emerson ladies. The start of summer sends many people running to gyms to whip themselves into shape, but not us! Stamp Clubs: We have several here at the store. They for truly addicted stampers as well as a source of ideas & help for beginners & friendship for all! There are spaces available in some & possibilities for starting others. Clubs are independently run so let us know what & where your interests are & your time availability & we can get you into the right club to suit your needs!
