Excavations: Multi-Media Techniques for Art with Kelly Kilmer Saturday, September 1, 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM. (with a 30 minute lunch break) Come to class & be prepared to learn a PLETHORA of techniques which can be applied not only to art journaling but to altered books, artist books, collage, cards, canvas, etc… Learn brand new background techniques that Kelly has never done in any other class! Discover the secrets of layered paints, images & words. Learn how to bring them all in together to create a look you will love! This is another NEW class on painting, collageing & altering the surface of your artwork. Be prepared to get messy, create & have fun! You will learn the tricks to layering background pages, painting pages, altering the surface of your pages & your images using unconventional methods & much, much more! You will walk out with a stack of papers with lots of ideas spinning in your head! Plus you will get a detailed handout with over 70 tips, tricks & exercises on applying mixed media materials to your pages (acrylic paints, wax artist crayons, gel mediums & more). You will learn a ton of varied ideas, exercises and information on using your supplies (and more)!
