Mixed Media ATCs with Guest Artist Carol Murphy

Sunday, September 23, 12:30 - 3:30 PM. This class is great for those of you who want to get started in the ATC craze and just don't know where to begin, as well as for those of you who just want to learn some new techniques. We will combine luscious papers, fabric, buttons, lace, beautiful collage images, glass, shells, metal parts, photocopies, inks, and a whole lot more to create these unique mixed media ATCs. The first hour will be spent decorating papers, learning some new and exciting techniques, clipping and cutting out images and words, and creating a few exciting embellishments using glass, metal, game pieces, and more. Hour two will focus on designing a collage piece that will then be cut into ten ATC backgrounds. Our final hour of class will be immersed in the assemblage part of the process where we will choose our "faves", add some dimension, and create our final miniature masterpieces. Samples & supply lists are available in the store! Cost $35.00

Most materials will be included however if you have small photocopies of friends or loved ones feel free to bring them- also- to lessen wait time in class, please bring the following:
One UHU Glue stick
Black permanent ink pad (If you plan to stamp)
Gold Leafing Pen
Detail scissors
Heat gun
Paper scissors or paper trimmer (if you have one)
Old credit card to swipe paint/ gesso
tiny hole punch and awl (if you have them)
Black Micron pen or super fine tip black pen
Double stick tape
