The Stamp Addict! Excavations: Multi-Media Techniques for Art with Kelly Kilmer: Saturday, September 1, 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM. This is another NEW class on painting, collageing & altering the surface of your artwork. Be prepared to get messy, create & have fun! You will learn the tricks to layering background pages, painting pages, altering the surface of your pages & your images using unconventional methods & much, much more! Cost $20.00 (this class is different than the one on 9/9) Mixed Media ATCs with Guest Artist Carol Murphy: Sunday, September 23, 12:30 - 3:30 PM. This class is great for those of you who want to get started in the ATC craze and just don't know where to begin, as well as for those of you who just want to learn some new techniques. We will combine luscious papers, fabric, buttons, lace, beautiful collage images, glass, shells, metal parts, photocopies, inks, and a whole lot more to create these unique mixed media ATCs. The first hour will be spent decorating papers, learning some new and exciting techniques, clipping and cutting out images and words, and creating a few exciting embellishments using glass, metal, game pieces, and more. Hour two will focus on designing a collage piece that will then be cut into ten ATC backgrounds. Our final hour of class will be immersed in the assemblage part of the process where we will choose our "faves", add some dimension, and create our final miniature masterpieces.
